North Carolina woman celebrates 100th birthday behind bars WTF

They say it’s your birthday.
Ruth Bryant of Roxboro, N.C. — about 40 miles north of Chapel Hill — celebrated her landmark 100th birthday exactly the way she wanted ... behind bars, WRAL.com reported Thursday.
In fact, heading to the slammer in handcuffs was a bucket list item the newly minted centenarian had been hoping to check off, as she’d never been to jail before.
With sirens ringing out, deputies “arrested” and cuffed an in-the-know Bryant at her birthday party, where they tried to confirm her identity.
“It all depends on what you want!” she said.
“Here’s what I want,” a deputy responded. “I want you!”
The spirited Bryant playfully fought back, leading the Roxboro deputies she was kicking to “threaten” additional “charges” of resisting arrest and assault.
Bryant didn’t have her cigarettes nor jewelry in the few minutes she spent behind bars, but she did walk out with her one phone call, a mugshot, and an orange jumpsuit.
“I’m in the jailhouse now! I finally got here!” she laughed.
“I know that she is 100 years old, but I didn’t know that they’d be going this far,” Bryant’s daughter, Marian Oakley, told the outlet.
After the chief jailer hugged her, Bryant headed back to the Cambridge Hills Assisted Living Center to celebrate her day without the cuffs, but plenty of cake.
